Drummers from alt-rock bands will perform at the 19th Annual Drum-Off.
Heroes from the behind the drumkit will be showing off their skills in Hollywood on January 5 at the final of Guitar Center's Annual Drum-Off.Performers will include Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction, Adrian Young of No Doubt, Brooks Wackerman of Bad Religion, The Vandals and Suicidal Tendencies, Byron McMackin of Pennywise, ?uestlove of The Roots, Shannon Leto of 30 Seconds To Mars and more.
Post-Blink 182 modern rockers Angels & Airwaves will also perform at the show, as well as punk percussion outfit Street Drum Corps.
But the competition heats up with amateur drummers battling it out in regional finals to be proclaimed the best skin-basher in the US. The winner will score ten grand, a Toyota FJ Cruiser and a custom drum and cymbal set.
They also might get the chance for semi-fame, as previous winners have gone on to supply beats for Prince, Sly And The Family Stone and Bobby Brown.
