Drummer of Marilyn Manson for 15 years, Ginger Fish, announces he’s quitting the band.
The man, whose real name is Kenneth Robert Wilson, has made a winsome statement about leaving the band after a decade and a half.
He wrote via Facebook and Twitter, “I have decided to step down as a member of Marilyn Manson and see where my life, and the knowledge of my availability cares to take me.”
“I can't stand by to watch opportunities pass me by simply because the knowledge of my availability wasn't clearly expressed by me. I wish my brothers well, and I expect nothing but great things from them.”
Wilson becomes the tenth member to pass through the Marilyn Manson ringer in the twenty-two years since Brian Warner started the project.
He played drums on six of the seven Marilyn Manson albums from their beginning, only absent for 2007's two-hander Eat Me, Drink Me.
He recently performed as the drummer during a set of February warm-up shows for Rob Zombie and still works with side project Martyr Plot.
