Silverchair were the big winners at the ARIA Awards tonight.
The Newcastle band has picked up the big one, Album of the Year for 'Young Modern', as well as Single of the Year for 'Straight Lines', Best Group, Best Rock Album and Highest Selling Single.Best Male Artist went to Goyte. Best Female Artist went to Missy Higgins. Nick Cave picked up an induction to the ARIA Hall of Fame.
