Cartoon beatmakers Gorillaz announce a 22-track b-sides and rarities double album.
New and rare music is always welcome from Gorillaz, the collaboration between Blur's Damon Albarn, cartoonist Jamie Hewlett and a slew of guest stars. While those two are busy with the Chinese opera extravaganza 'Monkey: Journey To The West', which is currently playing in Paris, they have announced 'D-Sides'.It is their second b-sides, remixes and rarities compilation following 2002's 'G-Sides'. Disc one of 'D-Sides' features thirteen unreleased and reworked tracks. Disc two features nine remixes by DFA, Jamie T, Stanton Warriors, Hot Chip, Junior Sanchez and Soulwax among others.
The double-album will be released on November 5 in the UK and November 6 in the US. There will be a standard and "deluxe" edition, where no doubt the artwork will be a big highlight.
