More than 30,000 Susan Boyle and k.d. lang CDs sold last week in Australia with shoppers buying up for Mother`s Day.
Mother’s Day is traditionally one of the biggest retail weeks for music sales and that was obvious by the Top 10 today.k.d. ‘Recollection’ sold 15898 units and Susan Boyle ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ did 15,617 sales.
Elsewhere in the chart Mark Vincent ‘Compass’ was at no.6 with 6382 units sold, David Campbell ‘On Broadway’ bounced back into the Top 10 at no. 7 on 6,135 units sold, Andre Rieu debuted at no.8 with ‘You Raise Me Up’ selling 5405 copies and Michael Buble ‘Crazy Love’ jumped up to no. 9 with 5,073 sales.
All up it was a good week for Australia sales with total figures for the Top 10 more than doubling last week.
The Top 10 last week sold 84,624 units compared to 40,287 in the previous week.
