For lucky ticketholders, the Falls Festival just got bigger with a slew of new acts announced.
Yes, it has sold out, but those who bought in early with faith that the bill would get even more impressive should be blown away. Another complement of acts join the already stunning musicians confirmed including Kings Of Leon, Groove Armada, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Jose Gonzalez, Gotye and Midnight Juggernauts.UK retro pop girl group The Pipettes have been included. Same for much-hyped multi-coloured baile-funk Brazilians Bonde Do Role, our own fawning folk siblings Angus & Julia Stone, the mature musings of Clare Bowditch And The Feeding Set and Kiwi melodic pop rockers Cut Of Your Hands.
But it doesn't end there, with local roots curiosities Lior, The Beautiful Girls and Old Man River joining up. Quirky electro sensation Operator Please join elder statesmen of loopy beats and punk rock Regurgitator. Blues legend Jeff Lang has been added, as have conscious local hip-hop collective The Herd.
The line-up, which is now bursting at the seams, will appear at both the Launceston and Lorne events over New Years.
