The New Year’s Falls Festival has added Beirut, Regurgitator (playing Unit), CANT, Alpine, The Grates and heaps more.
The first phase of the festival delivered J Mascis, Fleet Foxes, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys and others.
Now the Falls Festival adds some more quality acts, including gypsy folk champs Beirut, Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor performing as CANT, revived indie pop act The Grates, UK electro up-and-comer Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, hyped Melbourne act Alpine, and nutty alternative legends Regurgitator playing their iconic Unit album.
Their funk and soul revue, renamed Boogie Nights, also returns this year, with kooky theatrical acts and DJs bringing the fun. They’ve locked in Anna Lumb, Anna’s Go-Go Academy, Babylon Circus, Barry Morgan, Lilikoi Kaos, Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Mohair Slim, Nouvelle Vague, Peter Combe, Pierre Baroni, Richie 1250, Saskwatch, and Vince Peach.
Tickets will be available through the ballot, which closes this Friday August 5 at 5pm. Notification and purchasing will begin on Monday August 8 and then general tickets will go on sale Wednesday August 17.
