Lindsay Lohan's mission to become the modern-day Marilyn Monroe has taken another twist, with the performer claiming she wants to perform for the troops in Iraq.
Monroe famously paid a visit to American troops stationed in Korea during the 1950s, performing to over 100,000 servicemen. Lohan, who has openly modelled herself on Monroe, told Elle magazine, "I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did, when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops by herself. It's so amazing seeing one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who's basically a pinup, which is what I've always aspired to be."For now, Lohan has been told that the situation in Iraq is too dangerous. So, what's the best way to combat danger and violence? Learn how to be dangerous and violent yourself!
Lohan plans on taking shooting lessons in Los Angeles, stating "[my security guard] says if I'm going to go there I should know how to shoot." Ahh, pop-star logic.
