Straight from US Warped, Oz rockabilly stars The Living End blast through all states and then head off for Japan and the UK.
'State Of Emergency' has been an amazing renaissance for the Melbourne trio. It's been their biggest sales and chart success and the album was released in the US in July through Green Day frontman Bill Joe Armstrong's Adeline label. The band capped off their recent 22-date stint on the US Warped tour with a private carpark barbecue show for their fellow tourmates. They played Stray Cats, AC/DC and Chuck Berry classics and it was reported members of Less Than Jake and Against Me! were spotted air-guitaring in the audience.
They go on to play more solo dates in the US before returning to Australia in late August for a six-week, truly national tour. They then hit Japan in late October before heading off on a UK tour in November with Boston's celt-punks Dropkick Murphys and ska-rockers Less Than Jake.
The band have also just been nominated for Best Band at the Nikelodeon Annual Kid's Choice Awards and for hottest album in the Dolly Teen Choice Awards alongside Green Day, The Veronicas and Anthony Callea.
