The Living End return to the studio to record their sixth album.
The Living End have posted a note on their website announcing that they’re about to record their first album since 2008’s Platinum-selling White Noise.
Frontman Chris Cheney revealed the band’s plans in a note on their site.
“Having spent all of 2010 writing album 6 we have amassed something in the vicinity of 40 plus songs to choose from. That’s the shortlist! As usual for TLE we did a weeks worth of gigs playing only new songs to see which ones would sink or swim. We also just wanted people to hear what we are up to. There are some really different ideas kicking around this time but the emphasis has been on creating a cohesive album that is heavy, melodic and overall very anthemic.”
Punknews.org reports that the band will be working with Nick Didia at a studio in Byron Bay, for a release in the Spring of 2011.
The Living End do have an upcoming show, at Melbourne’s Grand Prix on March 27 wih Birds Of Tokyo.
