White trash rap hero Eminem hints about his first studio album in three years.
It's reported that Eminem has been continually working in the studio, and his release of 'The Re-Up' mixtape and guest spot on Akon's 'Smack That' proves that he hasn't retired, contrary to rumours.New Shady Records signing Cashis let slip in an interview with Skee.TV that Eminem will release a new album in 2007, and it will be titled 'King Mathers'. Producer Swizz Beats said in July that he has contributed to Eminem's next release, noting "He won't tell nobody he's working on a new album, but I'll tell you: he's working on new music."
Interscope publicist Dennis Dennehy insists that there is no Eminem release on their schedule and that a 'King Mathers' promotional dot com is "completely bogus".
But during a 50 Cent interview on New York's Hot 97 radio station, Eminem called in and spoke about his studio efforts. "I'm always working, I'm always in the studio," he says, "It feels good right now, the energy of the label. For a while, I don't wanna go back to the negative stuff... Going through some personal things, coming out of those personal things, it feels good."
