Urban balladeer Tim Rogers tours his new album 'The Luxury Of Hysteria'.
The enigmatic singer songwriter has recorded his first true solo album, following on from records with backing bands The Temperance Union and The Twin Set, and 2006's collaboration with Beasts Of Bourbon and Cruel Sea singer Tex Perkins as T'N'T.Although Rogers certainly had a crack team to help make the album become reality, including serial collaborator Shane O'Mara as well as 67 Special's Louis Macklin (with whom he did the Gentleman's Agreement series of shows earlier in the year), as well guests on cello, violin, trumpet, viola, French horn, trombone and tuba.
Following the album launches with a nine-piece band at the Sydney Opera House as well as in Melbourne and Brisbane, Rogers supports Missy Higgins around the country through November and December. 'The Luxury Of Hysteria' will be released on September 29. Tickets for the launches go on sale August 31.
