Melbourne funk and soul outfit The Bamboos have released a new video for their current single, “I Got Burned”, featuring You Am I’s Tim Rogers. The track is the first single from forthcoming album ‘Medicine Man’, and was named The Music Network’s fourth most added track to radio following release.
Medicine Man' is the Bamboos' fifth full length album, and as well as Tim Rogers, it features guests such as Aloe Blacc, Megan Washington, Bobby Flynn and Daniel Merriweather alongside the band's two permanent vocalists, Kylie Auldist and Ella Thompson.
The prolific Lance Ferguson and his nine piece Melbourne outfit The Bamboos have come a long way since forming in 2001. Across their four studio albums to date - 'Step It Up' (2006), 'Rawville' (2007), 'Side-Stepper' (2008) and '4' (2010). In addition to their recordings, which sell all over the world, The Bamboos' reputation has been furthered by their fabulously enjoyable live shows that draw the links between hip hop, soul, funk, old-school breaks, and increasingly a more guitar-heavy rock, pop and psych sound.
'Medicine Man' will be released 1st of June through Inertia. Can't wait to hear it.
