Future Role Models, the new band from Taxiride's Jason Singh, played their first gig in their hometown of Melbourne, Australia overnight.
The band comprises of Jason on vocals and guitar, Dayne Lawless on drums, vibe and percussion, Aaron Laguda on guitar and backing vocals and Kit Riley on bass and backing vocals.The unsigned Future Role Models whipped through 8 of their new songs, including 'The World As Your Know It', the song Snoop Dogg contributed to. (The demo with Snoop can be heard on their MySpace site).
Future Role Models complements Taxiride. It is a much tougher sound and goes in a completely different direction. Taxiride is an Australian success story, with 7 top 10 singles and two platinum albums under their belts.
Future Role Models will play in Sydney tomorrow (August 23rd) at the Oxford Hotel, Darlinghurst.
