Two years after their 'Outta Sight, Outta Mind' album, New Zealand rock pigs The Datsuns sneak out an EP and plan a new album.
It might be news to all but a few dedicated fans, that The Datsuns released a four-track EP called 'Stuck Here For Days' in May on limited edition download and white vinyl (and even more limited edition black vinyl due to a manufacturing error with a batch). Initially only for the UK, it was eventually released in New Zealand in late June, just as the band polished off the follow-up to the John Paul Jones-produced 'Outta Sight, Outta Mind'.Now the band have announced the details for their third studio album. This self-produced effort will be called 'Smoke & Mirrors' and is due for release on October 2. The first single, 'System Overload' will be released on September 18, but the band have noted on their website that a video has just been finished and should be on the airwaves in "the next couple of weeks".
They have also listed UK tour dates in early September and plan to head out across Europe in October.
