The Datsuns are in the final stages of their 4th studio album.
Cooking Vinyl will release the yet to be titled album in Europe in September.Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones produced the Datsuns last album.
About the new album, guitarist Christian Livingstone says, ““We recorded an album in Sweden - we went there because the people are very good-looking over there. That’s very important when you’re recording an album - you must surround yourself with good-looking people. We wrote it in Germany and went to Sweden and recorded it. It’s got a whole heap of different stuff. It’s not a record where every song sounds the same. There’s a psychedelic track, something quite epic, a punk song and a couple of pop songs - so it all comes under the umbrella of rock ’n’ roll. We’ve got short attention spans so we like to try different things.”
A US release is expected early 2009.
