Snow Patrol's keyboardist was arrested in Northolt west of London on Saturday, only hours after the band performed at Live Earth.
Tom Simpson's arrest is said to stem from his alleged failure to appear at a Glasgow court on charges of drug possession. He missed his band's performance at the Oxegen Festival in Ireland, but was released in time to play T In The Park in Balado, Scotland.He was arrested as he and his bandmates were boarding a chartered flight at RAF Northolt.
A police spokesman said, "We can confirm that a 35-year old man was arrested at Northolt military base. He will remain in custody at Uxbridge Police Station until he is transferred."
