Frontman for The Whitlams, Tim Freedman, reclaims their last album to take to the UK.
In 2006, The Whitlams as a thinly disguised moniker for pianist and singer Tim Freedman's songwriting efforts, hit number four on the album charts with the double album 'Little Cloud'. It was inspired in part by Freedman's time spent in New York. Now the album is set to be released in the UK solely under his own name and Freedman will play wandering minstrel (albeit it with a piano tucked under his arm) across the Motherland. He polishes off two shows at London's Museum Of Garden History on July 31 and August 1.
Upon Freedman's return to Australia, he will reassemble the band to perform a series of concert accompanied by each state's symphony orchestra in September, October and November echoing their efforts with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in 2004.
