Paul McCartney is currently in L.A. and in keeping with his theme of playing ridiculously intimate shows, he is scheduled to give a free concert at the famed Amoeba Records in Hollywood.
The largest independent music store in the world was going to hand out 200 wristbands at 12.30pm today (June 27), which prompted fans to begin lining up 24 hours beforehand. As soon as 200 fans had turned up, ready to sleep overnight for a wristband, Amoeba staff were kind enough to hand out wristbands a day early.
"When we saw that more than 200 people had already lined up, we decided to give them out early so they wouldn't have to spend the night on the sidewalk," a spokesperson for the store told NME.
McCartney has also performed intimate shows both in New York and London as part of his 'Memory Almost Full' promotions.
