Radiohead have released a one-minute-and-fifteen-second teaser of their highly anticipated forthcoming album.
The lo-fi clip, posted by producer Nigel Godrich on radiohead.com, is described as "bits of tape which have been chopped out of the mixes when they were edited...". The vibe is generally upbeat, throwing out glimpses of lush string orchestrations, plaintive piano and even some grimy guitar. The tracks sampled are listed as 'Open Pick', 'All I Need', '?(New Song?, I Froze Up?, Burn The Witch?)', 'Down Is The New Up', 'Arpeggi' and 'Bangers N' Mash'.
Guitarist Ed O'Brien recently posted on the band's dotcom, "Yes I know its been a while...but we've been working on this album for a while...BUT WE ARE NEARLY THERE...".
The as yet untitled release will be their seventh, and their first since 2003's 'Hail To The Thief'. It should be released by the end of the year.
