Paul McCartney played a special show for 1000 fans in north London last night.
The show at Camden's Electric Ballroom was McCartney's most intimate performance in years. People queued around the block for the chance to snare a ticket, which were all sold within 13 minutes. They were sold on a 'first come, first served' basis."It's a little while since I played a gig like this," he told the crowd, which included the standard quota of celebrity interlopers, including David Gilmour and Kate Moss.
The 90 minute set kicked off with 'Drive My Car' and concluded with 'I Saw Her Standing There'. He also showcased tunes from his critically acclaimed new album 'Memory Almost Full'.
The Beatles legend also dedicated 'Here Today' to John Lennon, telling the crowd, "This one was written for John. I would like to dedicate this song to all our fallen heroes."
