SILENCE AS BRUCE AND PAUL EXTEND THEIR CURFEW

Live Nation, pulled the plug on Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney at a Hyde Park concert in London last Saturday night "in the interest of the public's health and safety." WTF?

How many times do punters have the opportunity to see The Boss and a Beatle perform live together? McCartney joined Springsteen on stage for renditions of Beatles classics "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Twist and Shout", however the microphones were turned off before they could thank the crowd, forcing them to leave the stage in silence. Apparently Bruce had already extended his performance beyond the 10.30pm curfew when McCartney joined him on stage.

Steve Van Zandt of the E-Street band later tweeted " English cops may be the only individuals left on earth that wouldn't want to hear one more from Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney!"  '"On a Saturday night! Who were we disturbing?" Steve added, "There's no grudges to be held. Just feel bad for our great fans. ... It's some City Council stupid rule."

London Mayor Boris Johnson agreed with Steve stating on London radio the following day  "It sounds to me like an excessively efficacious decision. You won't get that during the Olympics. If they'd have called me, my answer would have been for them to jam in the name of the Lord!"   Tell it Boris !
