Infamous British tabloid The Mirror is reporting that Blur - including exiled guitarist Graham Coxon - will return to the studio in November.
Coxon admitted last year that he would "think about" returning to the group - whose last album 'Think Tank' was released in 2003 - if the band asked him. He told Pitchfork in November, "Would it be a bit too scary? What would the dynamic be in a studio? Would I have to do promotion? Would I tour? You know, it's a lot of thinking. So I guess I still mull around and think about it every now and then."And in February he told NME, "I'm not ruling anything out, you know. I've made a couple of solo albums and now I'm in a really collaborative frame of mind."
The unnamed source told the tabloid, "They've all had lots on with solo projects, cartoon bands and farming. But by the end of summer, their plates will be clear. They'll go into the studio in November."
But the question remains, has The Mirror, for once, decided to try its hand at accurate and responsible reporting? On behalf of Blur's fans, we can say we hope so.
