LA gangsta rapper The Game has been charged after pulling a gun at a pick-up basketball game.
Billboard reports that the rapper was charged in Los Angeles on June 4 for "making a criminal threat and possessing a firearm in a school zone." The felony charges are a result of an incident that occurred on February 24 during a pick-up basketball game in South Los Angeles. The Game, known to his mother as Jayceon Terrell Taylor, reportedly punched a member of the opposing team, then adjourned to his red Cadillac Escalade to fetch a handgun. He then threatened to shoot the man he punched, according to police.
Taylor was arrested at his Glendale home on May 11, ten weeks after the incident. As police executed a search warrant, they also charged him with "exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer". He was released on $50,000 bail.
If convicted, Taylor faces more than five years in state prison. This will most likely upset his Australian tour plans for August, where he is billed with Akon and Naughty By Nature for the 'Roc Tha Block' concert series.
