Up to 25,000 people are expected to farewell Hawaiian crooner Don Ho at a service planned on the island of Oahu this weekend.
Ho, who died at the age of 76 two weeks ago, will have his ashes scattered across Waikiki with canoes being launched from in front of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel.Initially only 10,000 people were expected to turn up, but the service was moved from the morning, to the afternoon and then to the evening.
Head down to Queens Surf Beach, across from the Honolulu Zoo from 6pm (or get there earlier if you want a good spot) for the service, which will include local Hawaiian performers and friends of Ho.
The scattering of Ho's ashes will be broadcast live to those waiting for the service to start at Queens Surf Beach.
