Norah Jones' 'Not Too Late' has been certified platinum in the USA for sales of more than 1 million units. It is her third album and third to be certified platinum giving her the hat-trick for sales.
Her previous album 'Feels Like Home' had been previously certified quadruple platinum while her debut 'Come Away With Me' has made Diamond status for sales of more than 10 million.Jones joins Fall Out Boy who also captured a platinum award for their second album 'Infinity On High'.
Robin Thicke, Miranda Lambert and Jason Aldean were also awarded platinum this month.
Thicke's 'The Evolution of Robin Thicke' was released in 2006. Lambert reached the benchmark for her 2005 album 'Kerosene; as did Aldean for his 2005 self-titled album.
The RIAA awarded a total of four multi-Platinum, nine Platinum and 11 Gold albums in March. All certifications are calculated by Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman.
Other artists to receive awards this month were Gold to Muse for 'Absolution', Gold to NAS for 'Hip Hop Is Dead' and Gold to gospel trio Selah for 'Hiding Place'.
