Australia's prime rock export Jet have set dates for a new single, album and Australian, UK and US tours.
Billboard reports that Jet's second album for Atlantic will be called 'Shine On' and looks set for an October 3 release date. The first single from the album, continuing their taste for classic rock n' roll nomenclature, will be called 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is' and will hit the airwaves in early August. The album was written in Barbados, Massachusetts, LA, and Melbourne, and was recorded with 'Get Born' producer Dave Sardy over six months at his Hillside Manor studios in LA. The Jet forum states that the band shot a video for the new album at Los Angeles' historical Alexandria Hotel.
The band will hit the road straight away, first back in their home country with two showcase concerts, in Melbourne on August 15 and Sydney on August 17 (the only Australian shows this year). They head back to the UK to play the Reading and Leeds Festivals at the end of August. Then they'll do a quick jaunt across the US in September and early October before a longer November tour.
