Silverchair's 'Young Modern' has rocked into the number one spot on the Australian chart this week with sales of more than 35,000.
'Young Modern', Silverchair's fifth studio album and first in five years, sold 35,627 units nationally last week."We're overwhelmed by the reaction we've had to Young Modern", said Silverchair's singer/guitarist/songwriter Daniel Johns. Ben and Chris and I would like to thank everyone who's helped make it all happen."
The Australian music industry also had further cause to celebrate this wee. The top 3 albums were all Australia.
