19 year old popstar Rihanna is the latest celebrity to appear in ads for CoverGirl cosmetics.
She joins a list of names including Rachel Hunter, Cheryl Tiegs, Tyra Banks and Niki Taylor in the position. CoverGirl dates back to 1961."I've loved makeup and dreamed of being a CoverGirl since I was a little girl," said Rihanna. "Growing up, my mother was a makeup artist and I was fascinated watching her apply lipcolor, blush and mascara. Now I get to be surrounded by all of my favorites from CoverGirl!"
The ads will be seen from June 2007.
This week, the singer released her new single 'Umbrella'. The track features Jay-Z. The song is from her third album (in two years) which is yet to be titled. The album will be released on June 5th.
