Rolling Stone has revealed they will publish an interview with Against Me! singer Tom Gabel about his decision to become a woman.
In a very brave move, Gabel has been interviewed by Rolling Stone about his gender dysphoria which is a condition that makes sufferers feel disconnected to their sex. As a result of the condition Gabel will commence electrolysis treatments and take hormones to make the transition from male to female.
Gabel is married with a two year old daughter and his wife Heather will continue in that capacity. Speaking to Rolling Stone Gabel said ""For me, the most terrifying thing about this was how she (wife Heather) would accept the news. But she's been super-amazing and understanding."
