Context is a Canberra based rapper whose previous releases include ‘The Dusty Track Mixtape’ and ‘The Monkey Bars EP’, his high energy live shows and his strong song writing skills make him a stand out in the growing Canberra hip hop scene. He has supported major artists such as; Rahzel, Dialectrix and Evil Eddie on the back of his 2012 release and has many more shows booked for 2013.
Jimmy Flipshyt is a Cairns based producer whose previous releases include ‘The Jimmy Flipshyt Beat Tape’ along with a series of remixes released through Soundcloud. Jimmy displays a strong dedication to traditional hip hop methods and produces beats that are reminiscent of 90’s style classics.
The Shadows EP was released on April 30 had has been well received by the local Canberra hip hop
scene. Furthermore, it has been reviewed in Wordplay Magazine (UK) and Wildstyle Magazine (GER). The duo has since supported P.Smurf (Big Village) and successfully launched the EP at La De Da in Canberra with many more shows to come.
