Jackson and his Computerband finally returns with his new album ‘Glow’, out this 30th August on Warp through Inertia.
Glow’ sees the maestro return with his first album since 2005’s influential debut ‘Smash’ and with him comes a seething romantic electro orgy, the likes of which have never been seen. From an adolescence spent in thrall to hardcore techno, spanning a lifetime love of classic pop and the unclassifiable funk of Prince – ‘Glow’ is a schizophrenic, psychotropic saga that could only have come from the mind of one person.
The album will be accompanied by a brand new live entity premiering in Nimes, France and making its second appearance at Sonar Festival this weekend, featuring a bespoke collection of live, electronic instruments. “The live show opens a territory of everlasting changes and real time communion with the audience. Handmade and manually played, my Computerband is now fully alive… It's also an opportunity for me to make my music without a screen but with a giant monitor facing the crowd, giving geometric feedback. Sweat and steal for flashing fury.”
