Gasworks Arts Park is an urban parkland which belongs to the community and where the arts have a living presence.
In 2012, Gasworks Arts Park presented 156 performing arts events, 36 visual art exhibitions, 6 outdoor cinema screenings and 1116 community workshops and classes. In addition, we supported a community of 16 resident artists producing visual arts, ceramics, jewellery and sculpture and hosted 12 award-winning monthly Farmers Markets. A total of 175 395 people utilised and engaged with the park’s various functions and artistic outputs.
Gasworks Arts Park relies on the generosity of our community to present its lively and diverse program that attracts the public and rewards artists and performers. The park thrives when the people whose work is presented are supported: they in turn give the park a vibrancy that engages the public.
