Come Together Festival 2013

For you who are a massive hip hop fan or if you are interested to see what Aussie hip hop artists are all about, it’s the time of the year for Come Together festival - Sydney's biggest hip hop festival featuring all-Aussie hip-hop stars.

Come Together 2013 will take place in the Big Top at Luna Park, at this year’s Queen's Birthday long weekend. It is avery special year as Come Together is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Visitors
will be able to get free rides in Luna Park. Yup, the $60 ticket will cover for these rides from 11.30am – 3.30pm on the day. Tickets are still on sale now at http://www.cometogether.com.au/tickets.html.

After selling out in 2012, here are some of the hip hop artists performing at this year’s Come Together festival:

Drapht

Drapht is a former member of the Syllaboliks (SBX) crew. Born Paul Gary James Ridge from Perth, some of his songs have won prestigious awards, including “Best Independent Hip Hop / Urban Album” at the 2011 Jägermeister Australian Independent Record (AIR) Awards and “Best Urban Album” at the 2011 ARIA Music Awards – with 7 nominations.

ILLY

Illy is a hip hop artist from Melbourne, he was a member of Crooked Eye and went solo ever since. His album Long Story Short reached #24 on the ARIA Top 40 Urban Albums chart. His fourth studio album is set to be released in 2013 through his own record label “ONETWO”.

The Herd

The Herd is an Australian hip hop group from Sydney with a full-band format. Many of their songs are featuringpolitically oriented lyrics. Some awards and recognitions they have received include 2008 and 2011 ARIA Awards nominations for Summerland and Future Shade, both in the "Best Urban Release" category. They were also named "Best Independent Artist" and the album Summerland was named "Best Independent Urban / Hip Hop Album" at the Jägermeister Australian Independent Record (AIR) Awards.
