Missy Higgins is back on radio and video with her new single 'Steer'.
The nation's kid sister Missy Higgins spent a long time working out how to follow up her triumphant 2004 debut 'The Sound Of White'. She spent almost three years on her new album 'On A Clear Night', possibly hoping to replicate the success of the nine times platinum debut. Finally, after an excruciating wait for fans, Higgins has sent her first single 'Steer' to radio. The video to the song will be launched on her dot com at midday on Tuesday March 20 and the full EP will hit stores on April 14. It comprises the bright, guileless single as well a three new songs not featured on 'On A Clear Night': 'The Battle' and 'Dusty Road' from her album sessions and a home demo titled 'Leave A Note'.
Writing on her myspace about the 'birth' of her new album, Higgins notes of the 'Steer' single, "This is a song about realising that you have the ability to change your life if you don't feel happy or fulfilled with where you are or what you're doing."
