The Good Hustle Music Salon at the Abbotsford Convent opens this Saturday the 3rd November and punters are in for a treat or fifteen...
The Good Hustle is a hand picked showcase of some of the best contemporary artists getting about town and is set over 6 intimate nights. Featured bands are Worlds End Press, Collarbones, Harmony, Kira Peru and the Bruise, Teeth and Tongue, Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Cactus Channel, Melatonin, Clubfeet DJ’s, and more!
Each show offers an up close encounter with some of Melbourne’s best performers in a unique location.Local filmmakers WHOBYFIRE will record and edit songs from each performance, the exclusive works to be distributed online via themusic.com.au in the week following the shows.
The Good Hustle is presented and filmed on a purpose built set in an 18th Century former Industrial School at The Abbotsford Convent. The setting provides for a truly unique staging of live music.
The Shadow Electric Bar will be open from 1pm serving up savory and dessert crepes, beers, chocolate, cheese, wines, spirits and cocktails all day and all of the night. Ping Pong will be available across a generous meterage of tables throughout Nov and Dec. The Good Hustle is proudly presented by The Shadow Electric and the Abbotsford Convent in association with themusic.com.au, PBS FM, Whobyfire and Vice Magazine.
All events are licensed and pre sale tickets allocations are strictly limited to an audience of 200. Doors are open from 6pm, music, performances, food and drinks will be flowing until midnight.
