Canuck pop-punkers Sum 41 have canned their appearances at Melbourne and Sydney sideshows but the show will go on.
The crazy Sydney Soundwave curse continues, following Slayer bowing out of their slot at Sydney’s festival due to Tom Araya’s ear infection.
Now Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley “has taken ill” and can’t perform at their Sydney Metro show tonight and their Melbourne Billboard show tomorrow.
He’s expected to be up to speed for their Melbourne Soundwave appearance on Friday, as will Tom Araya and Slayer.
The three support acts The Blackout, There For Tomorrow and Veara will still play and the other members of Sum 41 will show to meet the fans and do a signing.
Ticketholders will get a $20 refund or, if they no longer want to attend, can get a full refund from the point of purchase.
