Sydney four piece Songs have released a brand new single from their forthcoming album "Malabar" which is due for release in 2013 through Popfrenzy Records.
The single titled "Alone When I'm With You" does a very good job of being it's own song whilst bringing to mind The Go- Betweens, maybe the Hummingbirds and maybe even some Blondie. It's a great piece of guitar jangle accompanied by simple but catchy keyboards, hooks and melody that sound the same way a melted marshmellow would taste with a mouthful of Peppermint Crisp, sweet, jagged and mint. It's a delicious combination.
Sydney-siders, be kind to yourself and go see "Songs" this weekend (Satdee November 3) at Chalk-Horse Gallery (Surry Hills).
