Thornbury Records also know as "TRECS" is thrilled to announce the release of Money for Rope’s debut self-titled LP on their new vinyl-only label in early November 2012.
I love a good new vinyl-only label anytime, particularly when you know that what's on plastic offer is going to be delectable rock & roll. Label owners Meg and Clay enthuse " We feel very privileged to release the album; we were blown away when we first heard it, it's such a world-class release. They've certainly
come a long way from their 2am generator party set at Boogie festival a few years back! Since starting the store last year we have worked toward pressing and releasing our favourite Melbourne bands". Lets just take a second to praise these two enterprising label owners for giving the kids what they want.
Anyhoo, thanks to Thornbury Records Money For Rope fans will have access to a tip-top self titled LP, featuring 9 songs that ooze with the juicy flavours of Melbourne's underground.
Recorded and mixed by Steven Schram (The Vasco Era, Devastations, Little Red) the album follows years of touring across Australia, various festival appearances, and a run of 4 cheeky little 7 inches, which have nearly sold out.
Thornbury Records are offering a special pre-order for fans and collectors. Order now to get one of the first 100 records, pressed on crystal clear vinyl! The remainder of the pressing will be black vinyl, available through all good independent record stores.
