Rob Liotti, who fronts AC/DC cover band TNT has written a screenplay for a docudrama about the months leading up to the death of Bon Scott and is also tagged to play the lead role.
Classic Rock reports that the film went into pre- production in March and has a very strong focus on delivering a true reflection of the genuine dynamic of the Scott and AC/DC in the period the film covers.
Liotti sounds as though he is anxiuos to do a really good job, "There are a lot of challenges – one of the biggest is authenticity. This is an American production of an ostensibly Australian-based story. Dialect is highly important, as well as capturing the true dynamic of the band and its members. Australians claim 'ownership' of the band and Bon, so there are high expectations to be met from the outset. But it's a story that deserves to be told."
