Melbourne's Augie March is the recipient of the second annual Australian Music Prize, handed down in Sydney overnight (March 7th).
The Australian Music Prize is judged by a team of industry experts from artists, retail and media. Undercover's Tim Cashmere is one of the judges.The Australian Music Prize recognized Augie March for musical excellence and outstanding creativity for their album 'Moo, You Bloody Choir'.
The band received a cash prize of $25,000 from PPCA.

Congratulations to Augie March and to all of the shortlisted artists for the AMP Award 2006."
Founder Scott Murphy says the Australian Music Prize will be back for a third round in 2008.
