We all know W.A is responsible for some of Australia's greatest musical legends, Dom Mariani of the Stems, Dave Faulker of The Victims and Hoodoo Gurus, Kim Salmon of The Scientists, James McCann of Harpoon, Nunchucka Superfly and The Dirty Skirt Band, Ian Underwood of The Kryptonics and Challenger 7, Rusty Hopkinson of You Am I....the list goes on.
Now W.A is being repaid as the home to so many Australian music legends they get not one but four big gigs as Even and The Fauves proudly announce that they will be coming together at last on the aptly named 'Together At Last' tour. That's not all they are celebrating the fact that both bands have brand spanking new albums to take to the masses, Even with 'In Another Time' and The Fauves with 'German Engines'.
Even and The Fauves, are two names that loom large in the parthenon of Australian music. For nigh on twenty years these two bands of seasoned road warriors have blazed trails up and down Australia. From every sweat drenched bandroom to every parking lot bust up, Even and The Fauves have bared witness to it all. Surprisingly, given the decades notched up between the two bands, these boys have never toured together. This was clearly a situation to be rectified and now rectified it is.
This is just the first announcment of dates, with more to follow, this is a tour that no punter worth their salt can afford to miss.
