WILL AND THE PEOPLE EXTEND TOUR BY EIGHT SHOWS

UK'S WILL AND THE PEOPLE return for their second Tour of Australia this year. Today, the band have announced the addition of EIGHT NEW SHOWS to their ‘Friends’ Tour.

With second shows added in Manly, Newcastle and Sydney’s Beresford Upstairs in December, the tour will also take in extra dates at Maitland, Toukley, Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay.

Wicked Campers have provided the band with ‘The LSD Machine’ Tour Bus; its decor themed to The Beatles ‘Yellow Submarine’ which has already got the attention of MX and Music Feeds (both will cover a band-on-tour-bus-roof-top performance in Sydney Park, Alexandria on 14th November). Simon Marnie of 702 ABC Sydney has also invited the band to pay a visit to the ABC for a live session for his Weekends show, commenting “They are fab”.

Frontman Will Rendle said "Most international bands are in and out of Australia in days when they come to tour, but we’ve got the luxury of coming to stay, play and travel up and down the coast of this amazing country... for nearly seven whole weeks. It’s going to be great to be able to visit some regional area’s too. We’re very excited about spending some time in Byron Bay” he winked, “...and hitting up the beach towns for shows in places like Toukley, Warrnambool and Maroochydoore will be just dope. Australians were so generous to us when we were here earlier this year”.

On Friday 9th November, the band received the ‘Best Independent Band’ at the UK’s Download Music Awards in conjunction with the UK’s International Independent Charts, with Will and drummer Charlie Harmon accepting the award on stage.
