In an interview with metalunderground.com regarding her forthcoming album "Living Like A Runaway" Lita Ford has hinted that she would love for the Runaways to reform.
I would love for The Runaways to reform too! Anyhoo, Ford also added that she didn't think Joan Jett would be into it due to the fact that co- founder and drummer of "The Runaways", Sandy West wasn't around to take part. Sandy died in 2006 at the age of 47 after being diagnosed in 2005 with lung cancer, which later spread to her brain.
Here is what Ford said of a Runaways reunion "I don't know if Joan Jett would do the band without Sandy. I would, I love Sandy and nobody will ever take her place, but there’s still me and Joan and Cherie. The Runaways had a couple of bass players and they were both great. I would love to do the Runaways again, maybe next year, 2013 would be a good time." Lita Ford will release the album " Living Like A Runaway" in North America in June through SPV/Steamhammer. No word as to when it will hit the streets of Australia.
