While talking about his new Grinderman project, Nick Cave hints at new Bad Seeds album.
Nick Cave spoke to Julie Cullen on BBC6's The Music Week and took questions from listeners, accompanied by Bad Seeds and Grinderman bandmates Jim Sclavunos, Martyn Casey and Warren Ellis. While talking about the many and varied projects that each member is involved in, Cave admitted that he has been preparing the next album from the Bad Seeds, "I've been writing the new Bad Seeds one, which we'll be recording in June or July." The album will follow 2004's double disc effort 'Abattoir Blues/The Lyre Of Orpheus', which was critically lauded as a return to form and achieved their second highest UK chart position ever.
Ever busy, the group have just released the double DVD of 'The Abattoir Blues Tour', which features performances from their Brixton Academy and Hammersmith Apollo shows in the UK, as well as all the videos from their last two albums.
The self-titled Grinderman album will be released in early March and the act will perform at The Dirty Three-curated ATP festival in the UK in April.
