Everthing sounds better on vinyl and the new vinyl release of the "Mercy" album from Sydney's Sister Jane is no exception.
Hailing from Sydney's Blue Mountains these guys play foot stompin blues inspired rock n roll that would give The Rolling Stones a run for their money. First track off the rank, "Great Highway" is a perfect example of the run they would give and a standout on the album. Smokey and atmospheric "Lay Low" smoulders along like the soundtrack to low lit room, a bottle of tequila and a promise of a little somethin', somethin'. The album continues to flow through sunset territories and traverses country, folk and rock n roll, leaving sound ghosts coursing through your veins that are both satisfying and energising.
The album is out now via Broken Stone Records and available on vinyl which includes immediate download of the 9-track album in your choice of MP3 320, FLAC, or just about any other format you could possibly want.
To celebrate the vinyl release of "Mercy" Sister Jane will perform two shows, one in Sydney this Saturday 26th of May at The Oxford Arts Factory which is free and another show in Melbourne on the 16th of June at Yahs Yahs in Collingood.
