Broken Stone Records is hitting the road next month for a 10 day east coast showcase tour, featuring live performances from Sister Jane, Caitlin Park, Magnetic Heads and The Maple Trail.
The Broken Stone artists will not only perform but deliver talks about their experiences in self-recording and production, providing an insight into the use of digital technology and analogue techniques to self-produce music. This is a great opportunity for local musicians to find out more about the 'DIY' approach to recording and releasing music. Jonathon Miller, founder and director of BSR as well as lead songwriter and frontman of Magnetic Heads, will host the talks.
Miller explains "We believe that the modern recording artist needs to be in full control of their artistic process, from songwriting to production. This is core to the ethos of Broken Stone Records and we live in a time where this is possible. We're excited at the prospect of sharing our ideas about how and why we take this wholistic approach"
It is well going to the link bekow and checking out the Broken Records Sampler, there is some great stuff on it.
