Citadel Records and Fuse introduce part one of a five-part Hard-Ons reissue series - A Decade Of Rock. Beginning with this extensive anthology of the Hard-Ons from 1984 - 87 and following with every released track from the those years the series will continue up until their hiatus in the 1990s.
Anyone who has been involved or immersed in the Sydney and Australian underground at some point in the past twenty years has a favourite story to tell about The Hard-Ons. From the discos of Plumpton High to minus-degree temperatures of Eastern Europe, they've crowd-surfed sweat baths in the back-street pubs of Sydney, played every RSL from coast to coast, toured the US five times, played to thousands and to none. If it's a gig they've played it and treated each one with the same rip-tearing enthusiasm as the last, for nearly thirty years.
Originating from the underprivileged Sydney suburb of Punchbowl, this multi-racial trio of high-school kids stormed local partiesin the forst instance. Sydney's underground live music scene thereafter succumbed, quickly, followed by its Australian equivalent. Then finally, the underground rock'n'roll stages of the world.
" SMELL MY FINGER " the first in a series of five re-releases is out May 4 through CITADEL / FUSE. The Hard-Ons will be taking their live show around Australia, Europe and Japan to promote Smell My Finger. These shows are guaranteed to blow everyone's ears and eyes.
