Anyone going to see either Redd Kross or The Sonics in Melbourne tonight (Friday 27th) can now see The Fleshtones 'Late Show' for just $20.00! Just show your wrist stamp from either Redd Kross or The Sonics show at the door of Yah Yahs and ENJOY!
The fact that the three awesome sideshows were booked for the same night made it a tough choice for Melbourne fans of all three bands. Considering The Sonics has sold out and there are only a few tix left for Redd Kross, the alternative is to see two awesome acts in The Fleshtones and Steve Wynn, both of whom floored many at Dig It Up! in Melbourne on Wednesday.
In my own words, "Then it was back downstairs for The Fleshtones on the main stage. Awesome, awesome, awesome! Not only did the Fleshtones perform the most spectacular stage choreography, they did it without missing a beat. Talks about good times. NY surf/punk rock n roll at it's finest. These boys had the crowd in the palm of their hand for 45 minutes. The energy coming from the stage and speakers kept all eyes and ears on The Fleshtones as they jumped into the crowd with their axes and eventually made their way right out of the building and disappeared at the end of their set. The crowd was left with a stage empty of musicians but alive with the music the vanishing Fleshtones were still playing somewhere. Magic." If you are fortunate enough to have tickets for The Sonics or Redd Kross the best thing you can do is catch The Fleshtones and Steve Wynn for twenty bucks afterwards. Set times (below) for Yah Yahs tonight are encouraging folks to make the effort to get on down to Collingwood afterwards. You can do it !
