Dig It Up! The Hoodoo Gurus Invitational Celebrating 30 Years of Recorded History in 2012. This is definitely the most exciting announcement for 2012. Apart from when Bruce Springsteen announces a visit. (they will be equally number 1.)
The Hoodoo Gurus, lovers of music and and Australian music legends have put together the BEST lineup I have ever seen in order to celebrate the 30 years years since the release of Leilani (le Hoodoo Gurus iconic debut 7”) and a super career that has delivered more hits than than misses.
The boys are inviting very very special guests to help them celebrate on a tour that will take them all over Australia this April. Without any further ado the guest liineup will include thus far........
- legendary garage-rock pioneers The Sonics
- Redd Kross
- The Fleshtones
- The 5.6.7.8’s
- Hard-Ons
- Died Pretty
- Royal Headache
- The Lovetones
I am pinching myself ! This is like a dream ! But that's not all ! In a personal celebration of this milestone, the Hoodoo Gurus have announced they will perform Stoneage Romeos (their landmark debut album) in its entirety plus a selection of their other hits.
As part of the celebration of this momentous milestone in the band’s career, Sony Music will release GOLD WATCH: 20 GOLDEN GREATS, a new Greatest Hits collection covering the bands entire 30 year career including the new single “Use-By Date”. “Gold Watch” will be released on Friday 16th March.
I nearly don't want to publish when tickets go on sale...because I want to be first in line...selfish, selfish I know. Buuuut it's my jerb( job)!
